An artist, florist and botanical engineer, Donna Stain has spent more than three decades exploring the meeting point between nature, sculpture and emotional experience. Her work is rooted in the belief that plants and flowers are not decorative extras but powerful storytelling materials that can shift atmosphere, anchor memory and transform space.

Having lived and created in London, New York and Barcelona, Donna now bases her practice in Australia while continuing to collaborate globally. During her eighteen years at the Ritz Carlton flagship Hotel Arts Barcelona, she refined her ability to work at scale, navigate complex environments and create installations that elevate both daily life and significant moments. Her work now spans editorial, interiors, installations, brand activations, visual merchandising, event design and large scale artistic interventions. She approaches each project with a sculptural mindset, guided by movement, form, place and the inherent character of each botanical material.

Sustainability and locality sit at the heart of her process. Wherever possible, she works with foraged elements, local growers, seasonal material and unexpected natural forms, reworking them in imaginative and expressive ways to create impact without excess.

Donna has published two books and her work continues to appear in magazines, campaigns and exhibitions around the world. Her practice evolves through experimentation, field research and a deep relationship with the Australian landscape.
